Privacy Policy
What we collect when you make a page with Linfolio or visit one, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your choices.
Updated 26 October 2026
Who we are
Linfolio, Inc., at 131 Continental Dr, Ste 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States, decides how your personal data is used in Linfolio. In data protection terms, we're the controller. For questions or requests, write to support@linfolio.com.
When you pay for Pro, Paddle handles the checkout as the merchant of record and decides how it uses the details you give it there. Paddle's privacy notice covers that.
What we collect
If you make a page:
- Your account: your sign-in email, and your WhatsApp number and a backup number if you add them.
- Your pages: what you add, such as words, photos, prices, opening hours, links, contact details, and payment details you choose to show visitors.
- Business listings: when you search for your business, the public listing details our providers return, so you can pick yours.
- Your plan: your plan, payment dates, amounts and country, which Paddle sends us. We never see your full card number.
- Messages with us: what you write when you ask for help.
- Security records: when you sign in, and the IP address and device type behind sign-ins and other security events.
If you visit a Linfolio page:
- Visits are counted without cookies, IP addresses, device fingerprints or any other identifier. We keep counts only: how many people opened a page, roughly where they came from (like a search, a QR code or a social app), and which buttons they tapped. The page's owner sees those counts, and small numbers are held back.
- If you send a message, booking request or order through a page, we pass what you write to that page's owner and keep it for them.
- If you report a page, we keep the report, and your contact details if you give them.
Why we use it
- To run Linfolio for you: your account, your pages, sign-in codes and help when you ask. Our legal basis is our contract with you.
- To keep Linfolio and its visitors safe: stopping fraud, spam and abuse, checking links and acting on reports. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a safe service.
- To improve Linfolio, using counts and statistics that don't identify anyone. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a better service.
- To send account emails and renewal reminders, as part of our contract. We send news about Linfolio only if you say yes, and you can stop it any time.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping tax records and answering lawful requests.
We don't sell your personal data, we don't show ads, and we don't put third-party trackers on this site, in the app or on any page.
Where your data goes
Our providers process data in the United States, the European Union and across Cloudflare's global network. When data leaves your country, we use safeguards the law recognises, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account details: while your account is open. When you delete it, you have 14 days to change your mind, and then we delete your data within 30 days.
- Published pages: until you unpublish or delete them.
- Drafts and earlier versions: your last 5 versions, and older ones for 90 days.
- Photos as you uploaded them: 7 days. The copy shown on your page stays with the page.
- Security records: 90 days.
- Visit counts: 25 months. Single visit records, which never hold an identifier: up to 3 months.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 10 years.
- Help conversations: 24 months.
- Reports about pages: 24 months. The reporter's contact details are removed 6 months after a report is closed.
- Backups: deleted within 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, download it, correct it or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to limit it, and withdraw any consent you gave. You can download your data and delete your account yourself in your account settings.
For anything else, write to support@linfolio.com. We answer within 30 days. We confirm it's you through your sign-in, and never ask for ID documents by email. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Keeping it safe
Connections are encrypted, data is encrypted where it's stored, and contact and bank details are encrypted again on their own. Only the staff who need it can reach personal data, and every access is logged.
Children
Linfolio is for adults: 18 or over (16 or over in the European Union and the United Kingdom). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, write to support@linfolio.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version here with its date. If a change matters, we tell account holders by email before it applies.
